We don’t want you to miss out! Therefore, we recommend to book a lesson early in advance! We are a small team and we often get booked up prior to the season. If you book last minute we might not have an instructor available on your preferred day and time.

• Use the online booking form on this page.
• Provide details like desired start date/time, number of participants, discipline (ski or snowboard), resort, and each participant’s ability level.
• We’ll confirm availability, payment and meeting point.

See below our cancellation policy:
– If cancelled up to 2 weeks in advance 100% of the fee will be refunded.
– If cancelled between 2 weeks and 1 week in advance, 80% of the fee will be refunded.
– If cancelled between 1 week and 48 hours in advance, 70% of the fee will be refunded.
– If cancelled between 48 and 24 hours in advance 50% of the fee will be refunded.
– If cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson start time there is no refund possible anymore.

No, the listed lesson prices are per instructor and do not include lift tickets, equipment rental or transport.

All our lessons are private lessons. You can come with a private group however we don’t combine seperate groups.

Lessons can take place at any resort in the region where we are located, examples are Madarao Kogen, Tangram, Myoko, Nozawa Onsen, Shiga Kogen, Ryuoo Park, and Togakushi. Tell us your preferred resort in the lesson form and we can come to you. If you’re staying with us we can help coordinate transport.

Once you have selected your discipline in our booking form, we will ask you for the level of ability of all participants. The instructor will also analyse your ability at the start of the lesson. You can find the levels for skiing and snowboarding below:

スキー

1. First time on ski’s
2. I can control my speed and stop in a wedge
3. I can turn my skis while skiing in a wedge
4. I can ski parallel on all beginner runs
5. I can ski parallel on all intermediate runs
6. I can ski the whole mountain including park and off-trail

スノーボード

To ensure quality and safety we maintain group sizes of a maximum of six people for our lessons. To get the most out of your lesson, please make sure the skill level is similar within the group. If this is not the case we recommend booking a separate instructor. Alternatively, you can book a full day lesson and divide the time of the instructor amongst the different ability levels throughout the day.

We always recommend adults and kids to learn separately because they learn in such different ways. If you do want to stay together, e.g. as a family, it’s good to realize that this will impact the learning effect and the quality of the product.

We teach skiing from 4 years old. For 4 and 5 year old kids we recommend starting off with 1 hour, 1 on 1 with the instructor. From 6 year old onwards we only provide 2 hours or more.

For snowboarding, we start teaching kids from 7 years old.

If the resort where you booked a lesson is closed due to weather conditions we will first see if there are alternative resorts open in the region. If this is not the case we will see if there is availability in our and your schedule to move the lesson to another day. If this is not the case we can organize a refund.

• Make sure you have your ski and snowboard gear ready to go (or rental gear, if you prefer)!
• Appropriate layered clothing (base layer, mid-layer, waterproof outer).
• Helmet.
• Goggles.
• Water proof gloves and preferably inner gloves.
• Face mask.
• Sunscreen.
• Some snacks in your pocket.
• Potentially some cash money for lunch (not all restaurants on the mountain have credit card payment options).

At the start of the lesson, the instructor will assess your gear and discuss your goals before heading out.

There are no set lesson times. In the form you can let us know your preferred starting time. We will try our best to accommodate.

A full day lesson can start any time from resort opening (8:30) and finish any time before resort closing (around 16:15) and will have at least an hour break in between. As you are booking a private instructor you can fully decide how it fits your needs.

If you book 4 hours, you can let us know beforehand how you would like to divide your time. Many people prefer to start with 2 hours in the mornning, have a break and then have 2 hours in the afternoon. However, if you prefer to do all 4 hours in a row this is also fine.
